Twilight Obsession

When I think back to all of things I have obsessed about the most in my lifetime, the serious, 'I still haven't STOPPED obsessing-about-them' obsessions, I think of: Phantom of the Oprah, Darren Hayes from Savage Garden (when he was a dark haired babe), The Incredible Hulk and Pizza. Well, now I have another one to add to my list... TWILIGHT!

I wish I could honestly say, "I can't remember the last time I was so obsessed with something like this!" But I can't. Phantom of the Opera has always been my tragedy of choice since the movie came out in 2005 here in Idaho, and I increased my insatiable love for it when I sat front and center under the chandelier at the Majestic Theater in NYC to watch the Broadway play of Phantom on May 28th, 2008. What an experience!

But, as with all my TRUE obsessions, while it continues to be something that will forever lace my life, it has now been put on the back burner at the moment to make way for a new and exciting obsession which has consumed my overly obsessive disposition... who would have thunk! Vampires, Werewolves and Bella, "Oh My!"

I read all three books to the Twilight Series in three days! And I have started the first book again for the 2nd time. (Never in the history of my book reading career have I EVER read a novel back-to-back like this). I have NEVER gotten into Vampires and Werewolves... and now my mind fights the logical side of my brain telling it that somewhere, somehow... maybe I will meet a blood-sucking vampire of my very own. (Swoon) The thought sends tingles down my arms.

You think I'm crazy right? You think, "She is ONE desperate single mother who needs some lovin'!"

Not So!

Take the Twilight challenge... I DARE you! No...

I Triple-Dog-Dare you! No...

I Twilight-Edward-Cullen-Dog-um-Werewolf-Dare you!!!!

My sister dared me, and I took the challenge. Now, I will never be the same. Thanks Sis, I'll never be able to repay the kindness!

So now, I wait and I read... counting down the days to the 4th installment of my book series and for Edward's perspective to arrive in the form of Midnight Sun! (Double Swoon)

...I NEED HELP!

Did I mention they made movie too? Yeah... December 12, 2008! I'll be there at the Midnight showing, smirking like Edward Cullen and wishing he was real!

Wow. Can't even relate. Perhaps I need to take the test...

I love your enthusiasm in this post though. It reads very well. So I guess I can relate to that kind of exciting connection.

Off to take the test....

It shows they are good books if the fiction seems like it just might enter reality. I remember waiting and waiting for Indians to come kidnap me after reading Ride The Wind *sigh*

And when Jenni told me of your new obsession all I could think of was Toad from Wind in the Willows. "She has a NEW mania!"

Enjoy it!
